80 zl / sessionQaxufa started in 2012 in Gdańsk, in a small rented room on Jaśkowa Dolina, as a tutoring service for a handful of local students preparing for school exams. What began with two teachers and a whiteboard has grown into a team of 7 language specialists working with students across 6 districts of the city and its surroundings, both in person and online.
Over the years we have run 1,293 completed courses and worked with 686 clients in total, roughly 49 new students joining each year. About 156 of them came back for a second course after finishing the first, whether to move up a level, prepare for a different exam, or brush up before a work assignment abroad. We currently offer 14 distinct services, from beginner conversation groups to exam preparation and business English coaching.
Our mission has not changed much since 2012: help people in Gdańsk communicate confidently, whether that means passing an exam, handling a work call, or ordering coffee on holiday. We do not promise fluency in weeks or guaranteed exam scores — language learning takes consistent practice, and we plan our courses around that reality rather than around marketing claims.
Each course is built from a short placement conversation, followed by a study plan that fits the student's schedule and goal, be it school-leaving exams, workplace communication, or general conversation practice. Lessons run online through live video sessions, with recorded materials and exercises students can revisit between classes.
We tell students what pace of progress is realistic before they enrol, based on their starting level and how much time they can commit each week.
Our 7 teachers keep group sizes limited so each student gets speaking time in every lesson, rather than sitting through a lecture format.

156 students have come back for a second course — below are their words, unedited.
I started English lessons before a job change and within four months I could handle client calls without panicking. The tutor adjusted the pace after the first two sessions once she saw where my gaps were.

Zero German before, now I can order food and small talk with my partner's family in Gdańsk-Oliwa without translating in my head first. The teacher explained grammar with examples from daily situations, not just textbook drills. Booking a lesson took two minutes online and someone replied to my first question within two hours.
Marek Kowalczyk
Oliwa, Gdańsk
The price per hour is fair compared to private tutors I found on my own. My only note: the intermediate group course could use one more session per module, four felt slightly short for the amount of material.
Katarzyna Zielińska
Przymorze, Gdańsk
Quick answers by email, no waiting days for a reschedule.
Tomasz Nowicki
Śródmieście, Gdańsk
Booked a short Spanish course six weeks before a trip to Andalusia. The tutor focused on practical phrases and pronunciation rather than long grammar tables, which is exactly what I needed. I could actually order in restaurants and ask for directions without switching to English.
Joanna Lewandowska
Brzeźno, Gdańsk
My daughter enjoys her English lessons and her vocabulary has grown a lot. The one thing I'd change is the homework platform interface, it's a bit dated compared to what she uses at school. Still, the tutor herself is patient and consistent.
Beata Kaczmarek
Ujeścisko, Gdańsk
Needed to prepare a presentation in English for a supplier meeting with under three weeks' notice. Two sessions were rearranged around my work schedule without any hassle, and the final result held up well in front of the client.
Piotr Adamczyk
Chełm, Gdańsk
No pressure, no strict deadlines, just steady progress once a week. That's exactly what I wanted after years of trying language apps on my own.
Ewa Sikorska
Wrzeszcz, Gdańsk
Prepared for a French certificate exam over ten weeks. Materials were solid and mock tests matched the real exam format closely. Scheduling around my evening shifts was a bit tricky at first, but we found a workable rhythm by week three.
Rafał Dąbrowski
Aniołki, Gdańsk
Had to cancel a course due to a medical issue midway through. The team sorted out a partial refund and paused my remaining sessions without making it complicated. That kind of straightforward handling matters more than people realise.
Magdalena Woźniak
Letnica, Gdańsk
Solid teaching, clear explanations, friendly attitude. Recommended to two colleagues already.
Grzegorz Ostrowski
Osowa, Gdańsk
We are moving to Lisbon next year, so I picked up Portuguese lessons to get ahead. The content is good and the tutor is knowledgeable, but the online platform occasionally lagged during video calls, which interrupted the flow of a session or two. Nothing that ruined the course overall.
Anna Malinowska
Suchanino, Gdańsk
Six months ago I could barely introduce myself in English. Now I hold short conversations with foreign clients at work without freezing up, and I finally understand movies without subtitles most of the time. The structured plan the tutor built after our first assessment made a real difference, week by week the material built on what came before instead of jumping around.
Krzysztof Jankowski
Żabianka, Gdańsk
Simple sign-up, clear pricing, no hidden fees. First lesson was scheduled within two days of my inquiry, which fit well around my studies at the local university.
Natalia Piotrowska

156 of our clients have booked a second course after finishing their first, often moving from general English into exam prep or workplace communication.
